workplace

This idea looks forward; beyond the existing disparities of a dwindling age old fish industry and its engrossing oil adversary, to the inevitable growth and change of this eager urban enclave.   Her land, like oil and catch alike, stolen from the Northern depths by industrialized man, awaits a fresh arrangement for the co-existence of a diverse workforce and commerce.

This new workplace is an antithesis of the generic office block that currently dominates the disparate developments of bygone industries.  Curious in its permanent and adaptable floor structures, its changeable partitions and its potential to enlarge; this solution enables a tenant-designed flexibility coupled with the anticipation of future expansion.  Its adaptability encourages an array of diverse trades and corporations and aims to unite the divided workforce.  The design is a mere suggestion that shall adopt the intervention of use and allow the indeterminable factors of future industry a cohesive and integral progress within Aberdeen’s industrial heart.
