icecream has just drafted the early design ideas for the refurbishment and re-modelling of this b-listed end terrace in Glasgow’s West End.  The further development of the planning stage is now underway.

The project encompasses the re-thinking of the entire ground floor living space with the inclusion of the original servants sleeping quarters as a mezzanine level living space.  It creates a truly functional everyday space, centred around the kitchen; the client’s ‘heart of the home’.  The surrounding spaces have an element of separation yet still allow the family to interact during their varied activities.  This was the key requirement of the client.
